How do I remove the background from an image?
Upload a JPG, PNG, or WEBP, or paste it with Ctrl+V. EraserBG cuts out the subject in your browser. Download a transparent PNG, or place the subject on white.
Is this background remover free?

Do I need to create an account?
No. You can remove a background, edit the edges, and download the file without signing up.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The image is processed on your device. It is not sent to an EraserBG server.
Can I make the background transparent?
Yes. Download PNG while the background is set to transparent. JPG cannot keep transparency, so it is flattened onto a color.
Can I put the subject on a white background?
Yes. Choose white, another color, or your own background image, then download PNG or JPG.
Which files work?
JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, and BMP, up to 25 MB. HEIC needs to be exported as JPG or PNG first. Large photos are kept up to 1920 pixels on the long edge.
